BENCHMARK BIBLE CHURCH
Learn more about Benchmark Media Group
We are a body of writers, editors, artists, and ministers of the Gospel who seek to push back the darkness in this world with the light of Christ. Our task is to create and curate works of art, literature, teaching, and discipleship that spark the mind and engage the heart. We seek to build bridges to Truth and illuminate the path for those who have lost their way.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.”
– Matthew 5:14, 15

The Genesine Chronicles:
Havilah’s Gold
Bellam, Texas, was a safe place to live, or at least it should have been. By all appearances, on this side of the veil separating the seen from the unseen realms, all was well. It’s easy to believe that what you see is what’s real until everything you know for certain becomes suddenly and terrifyingly untrue.
Corrie Callahan is the youngest of three siblings who are dropped at their grandparents’ front door after their father’s sudden death. A determined 12-year-old, Corrie sets out to find their mother, with or without her brothers’ help. When she finds a mysterious gold medallion and three odd companions, her plans derail, and all hell breaks loose. All options lead to death as she fights against humankind’s oldest enemy in a race to the end of the age.

Meet the Author
Jamie Rodriguez
After chasing degrees and career ambitions, Jamie settled down to focus on her greatest adventure—homeschooling three young children with Efrain, her college sweetheart and husband of then 15 years. While at the park on a clear, brisk day in 2007, Jamie and her children explored a drainage pipe that seemed to go nowhere—and the idea for Havilah’s Gold was born. Thus began a new journey through years of writing in snippets of time between school hours and dinnertime, drum lessons, piano lessons, karate classes, birthdays, graduations, and weddings—until hobby gave way to calling. Jamie and Efrain live in Denton near their grown children. They both serve on staff at Benchmark where they also lead a young adult group. Jamie enjoys good coffee, great books, enough conversation to satisfy a committed introvert, and escaping to the mountains as often as possible.
