Ecclesiastes 4:12 “… a cord of three strands is not easily broken.”
We’ve asked the women of Benchmark to consider the threads that God is weaving together to tell His story of grace in their lives. Imagine one strand of a rope or a single thread of a beautiful tapestry. Alone, each thread has value, but woven together with others it becomes what it was meant to be. Where is the Lord mending you, and where could you provide an additional strand of grace in someone else’s life to strengthen torn or weakened places? We were chosen to be woven. Grace Groups launch every fall and continue through the spring, some into summer as well. Please contact Mary Borges if you would like to be placed in a group.
“So, Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
– Ephesians 4:11-13
Purpose
The hope and prayer for our Grace Group ministry is to provide a loving and safe environment that fosters personal spiritual growth through prayer, personal study, discipleship and accountability. Grace group leaders are servant leaders who by example will love, lead, serve, and equip group members to build up the body of Christ.
In following Christ’s example, Grace Group Leaders will practice servant leadership.
“In your relationships with one another, have the same mind as Christ Jesus, Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death – even death on a cross!” – Philippians 2:5-8
“… set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12
