The Book of James – Wednesday Mornings 10:00 am – 11:30 am
This 10-week study will be led by Erin Newton and will begin February 5.
“We live in a world where many things compete for our attention and devotion. Living with a single-minded focus upon Christ can be difficult. In the letter of James, this same warning against double-mindedness was preached two thousand years ago. Through a ten-week study, we will take look at how James exhorted his readers to develop and maintain a single-minded heart for God.” – Erin Newton
The Book of Jonah – Thursday Evenings 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
This 8-week study will be led by Margaret Ashmore and will begin February 13.
“Jonah is called a minor prophet but only because of its short content. However, it is major in its message. The key verse is “Salvation is from the Lord” teaching us that we cannot control, fix, manage, or change ourselves nor can we with others. We must instead come to the end of “self” through grace enabled surrender and watch God do what we cannot. He did that with Jonah. He can do that in the lives of His people. In this short but significant book, we will also see God’s great love for not only His wayward servant but also for the lost.” – Margaret Ashmore
